The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, written by man. The Bible is meant to be obeyed, and is useful and relevant to our lives today. 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, James 1:22, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12-13,

We are saved only by the grace of God, not by works. Through faith in Jesus, repentance, and baptism into Christ, we accept the free gift of forgiveness and salvation that comes through Christ, our only mediator to God. Ephesians 2:8, Acts 2:38-39, 1 Timothy 2:5, Romans 3:25-26,

The Church

We believe that Jesus is the head of the church. The members together form one unified body committed to loving God, loving each other, and obeying His commands. Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Acts 2:42-47, John 13:34,

God created the universe and the world we live in. He is Lord of earth and heaven, and exists as the triune Godhead-- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is Love, and his Sovereignty extends an unwarranted grace to mankind, not based on merit, but rather on willingness to repent of a sinful life and by santification in the blood of Christ. Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Romans 3:24, Romans 9:15, 1 John 4:8,

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God, the incarnation of God in the flesh, and is equal to God the Father. He was born of a virgin and was the fulfillment on the Old Testament law to the Jews. He made his dwelling among us as fully God and fully man. After living a perfect life, he was tortured and crucified, taking on the sins of the world-- past, present, and future. On the third day he resurrected back to life. It is by his sacrifice on the cross through his blood, and by his resurrection, that we can be saved from our life of sin. Matthew 5:17, Matthew 27:26-50, Luke 24, John 1:1-5;14, John 14:10-30, Romans 5:9, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Peter 2:24 ,

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God, just as the Father and the Son are also God. The Spirit has worked powerfully since the beginning of time, and now makes his dwelling inside of those who are sanctified under the salvation of the new covenant. The Christian should rightly walk in step with the Spirit, and live in accordance with His desires instead of the desires of the flesh. Jesus was crucified and risen so that the Spirit could make his dwelling in disciples of Jesus and so He could convict the world of sin. 2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:2-30, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18,
